Dewi Sri Guesthouse is located in Mataram City on the beautiful yet largely untouristed island of Lombok, just a 20 minute flight from Bali. The pace of life here is more laid back and while Bali these days is a true tourist mecca, guests coming to Lombok can still expect to experience a taste of the real Indonesia.
More than that, Lombok is an island of extreme natural beauty. A short drive north or south from Mataram will lead you to some of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches imaginable, where it is still entirely possible to find yourself alone amongst the sand, surf and gorgeous scenery. Drive to the east and you will find forests where families of monkeys are docile enough to feed by hand, where majestic waterfalls cascade into pristine rock pools and where Mt Rinjani, Indonesia’s second highest volcano, offers volcanic lakes and spectacular views to those willing to make the three or four day journey to the summit.

The city of Mataram itself offers a mix of Islamic and Hindu cultural tradition and while most people head to the beach locations for the best nightlife, Mataram is nevertheless an ideal base to plan and set out on your Lombok adventure or to just relax awhile and let the rest of the world pass you by. And, although it goes largely unnoticed, Mataram is home to some of the best tasting street food in Indonesia.
Our guesthouse comprises 7 air-conditioned bedrooms, offering a mix of private and shared accommodation, plus a large, open plan living area, front and rear gardens, outdoor terraces and a swimming pool.
Our private rooms feature queen-size beds, cable tv, air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms.
Our shared rooms are located to the rear of the guesthouse property and offfer a choice of private or shared bathrooms.
A number of our rooms feature “Lombok-themed’ 3-D wallpaper to showcase some of the island’s major attractions.
With the recent addition of our Tiny House and Poolside Villa we are happy to offer guests an expanded choice of accommodation options.
Tiny House guests can opt for the privacy of their own space (which includes a private front garden and open-air garden bathroom!) but are welcome to access the property’s common areas, including the outdoor terrace areas and swimming pool.
The Poolside Villa comprises three lettable spaces; Downstairs, a two room self-contained apartment, and upstairs, a premium queen room as well as a premium 2-bed dorm.
Free wifi is available throughout the property and there are plenty of charging points for all your devices.
